Currently OSIA has more than 600,000 members and supporters and a network of more than 700 chapters coast to coast, making it the leading service and advocacy organization for the nation's estimated 26 million people of Italian descent.

To enroll all persons of Italian birth or decent; to promote national education; to secure adequate laws for the benefit of our members by active participation in the political, social, and civic life of our communities; to encourage dissemination of Italian culture in the United States; to uphold the prestige of the people of Italian heritage in America.

Elections of 2009 and 2010 officers will be held at the November 16th business meeting, at the Napa Senior Center. Any Napa Lodge member interested in holding an office is invited to attend this meeting.

A group of 37 headed to the River Rock Casino in Geyserville for a full day of gambling at the slots and tables. Everyone had a great time, especially Mary Schwake who hit it a $1000 jackpot on the .25¢ slots. We were happy a number of non-members joined us for the trip.
